Three Returning Drivers to Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport for 2024 FR Americas Campaign
April 5, 2024 – With a championship-winning performance in 2023, Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport will remain consistent in their program in 2024 with three returning drivers to the FR Americas Championship program. Returning to continue to fill out a strong contingent of drivers will be 2023 Vice-Champion Ryan Shehan, female competitor Nicole Havrda, and veteran racer Kevin Janzen.
“With two drivers already confirmed and announced, Ryan, Nicole, and Kevin make up drivers three through five,” explained Garry Orton. “Ryan will be a championship contender and Nicole comes from Western Championship and FR Americas experience from last season, while Kevin will look to battle in the FR Americas Master class.”
Finishing the 2023 season with two victories and 13 podium results, Shehan finished second in the 2023 championship and will aim for the title in 2024. A strong driver with a years’ worth of FR Americas experience, Shehan will be a title favorite when the first race takes the green flag in just a few short weeks. Havrda, who earned seven victories on route to the title in the 2023 Formula Pro USA Western Championship, competed in select events in 2023 to gain experience for a full campaign in 2024 earning three top-five results in the six that she competed in. Janzen, who will compete in the FR Americas Masters class in 2024, competed in 12 wheel-to-wheel races in 2023 earning points in ten races. Set to fight again in a new season, Janzen will aim to close the gap to the leaders and continue to have fun as a veteran racer.
Orton added, “We will aim to start 2024 similar to we did in 2023 with a victory and put the pressure on our rival teams. With the first race less than two weeks away, we have a few additional FR Americas drivers to announce before we head to New Orleans.”
The FR Americas wheel-to-wheel action will take the first green flag of the season over the April 11-14 weekend at the NOLA SpeedTour at NOLA Motorsports Park just outside New Orleans, Louisiana.
