April 10, 2024 – The Formula Regional Americas Championship makes its long-awaited return at NOLA Motorsports Park this weekend for the first race of the 2024 season. The series will venture to two new tracks on schedule this year, but the season opener to returns for another year on the 16-turn, 2.75-mile-long permanent road course of NOLA Motorsports Park. Former team and driver champions, Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport, return with decorated driver Ryan Shehan for a full 2024 season program as he sets his sights on the title after a multi-win campaign in 2023.

This will be Shehan’s second year in the FR Americas Championship sporting his signature #66 machine supported by his partners, Harrison Noel Team, RingSquared, Complete Circle Consulting, Stilo, The Cookbook Creative, Goose Creek Financial, ArgonDigital, Lucky Design, and Shores Media. The Austin, Texas native claimed Vice Championship honors in the 2023 FR Americas season and has high hopes that this year will be his year. 

“I’m looking forward to returning with the Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport team this year,” explains Shehan. “We weren’t quite at the top last season, but pre-season testing and work with the team has been positive, and I feel we’re in a good place heading into the season opener at NOLA this weekend. Our first goal is to start the season strong, so we’ll be striving for some great results to kick off the year and push for more as the season rolls along.”

The race weekend will begin with a full day of testing on Thursday, April 11 and will continue with three practice sessions on Friday. Saturday will see the first qualifying and race of the season, followed by a double-header on Sunday to close out the weekend. Click HERE for the full weekend schedule.
