Nicolas Ambiado and Patrick Woods-Toth Top NOLA Practice

AVONDALE, La. (April 12, 2024) – Drivers in Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas) had two practice sessions on Thursday to prepare for this weekend’s NOLA SpeedTour. Series newcomers topped the speed charts with Nicolas Ambiado (No. 55 Tlink / Allegro Ligier JS F3) and Patrick Woods-Toth (No. 27 Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F3) each leading one session.

In Practice 1, Ambiado paced the field with a lap time of 1:34.893. The 16-year-old moved up to FR Americas after spending the majority of last season running his Ligier JS F3 chassis in Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) competition. Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.) Vice Champion Titus Sherlock (No. 31 Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F3) was second, followed by returning driver Cole Kleck (No. 11 DD Autosport / International Mechanical Ligier JS F3) in third.
