F4 U.S. Drivers Enjoy a Day of Testing in the Big Easy
The Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda drivers completed a successful first day of testing at Nola Motorsports Park on Saturday. The day was perfect with temperatures topping 71 degrees with new Spring wildflowers lining the 17-turn, 2.748-mile track.
“The competitors participated in a driver training seminar before going out on track on Saturday," said F4 U.S. Race Director Chip Robinson. "The entire day went smoothly and the field for this season of F4 is shaping up to be extremely competitive."
Teams utilized the final official preseason test to complete their rosters, perfect car set-ups and to talk directly to F4 U.S. partners Onroak Automotive, Honda HPD, Pirelli Tire and SCCA Pro Racing in preparation for the first F4 U.S. event at VIRginia International Raceway April 27-29.
Seventeen of the 20 registered drivers on 11 teams participated in the test Saturday. Cars are back on track on Easter Sunday for the last day of testing. Fans are welcome to attend the session throughout the day until 4 p.m. For more information about the series test, entry list and schedule, visit F4USChampionship.com/events.
