Velocity Racing Development Enters a Pair of F3 Pilots for Series Finale at Sebring Raceway

Four driver VRD squad heads south to Florida

Announcing a pair of F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda competitors earlier in the week, Velocity Racing Development (VRD) is pleased to confirm another duo for the season finale in F3. Taking on the Sebring International Raceway and the F3 Americas Powered by Honda program, VRD will look to finish the season strong with Mathias Soler-Obel and Parker Locke as they complete the four-car strong operation.

"We are entering the Sebring event with four drivers, all of whom could challenge for race wins and podium results," explained Dan Mitchell. "Both Mathias and Parker have been on the podium in 2019 with Mathias claiming several of them including a race win. Sebring is a track that rewards aggressive drivers, and both should be in contention when we get into race action."

Announcing Ryan MacDermid and Michael d'Orlando to their F4 roster earlier in the week, Soler-Obel and Locke complete a potent quartet of VRD branded drivers.

Mitchell continued, "Our goals continue to remain the same. We want to win and podium each and every time on the track, but we are also developing these drivers for their future careers. We work closely with drivers both on and off the track to provide them the experience and tools they need to be successful."

With the team's most recent event at Road America, VRD drivers showed the pace needed to run at the front of the field. Series newcomer Antonio Serravalle topped the charts on several occasions and Soler-Obel found his way to the podium in both races on the weekend for his fourth and fifth podiums of the season. Both Parker and Mathias have score points in nine of thirteen events this season and will look to finish the season strong in Sebring, Florida.

The F3 Americas Powered by Honda drivers will take advantage of a Promoters Test Day on Thursday as they look to get up to speed on the bumpy and challenging race circuit. Friday will see the VRD quartet participate in official practice before qualifying takes place that afternoon. Wheel-to-wheel action will commence on Saturday with a pair of races while Sunday will be the home for the series finale race. Stay tuned to VRD's social media channels throughout the weekend to keep up to date with news, information, results and photos from the event.
