Ryan Shehan Wins and Earns Three Podiums at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway
June 19, 2024 – Round three of the FR Americas season excited fans as the competition returned to the Racing Capital of the World, the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Crosslink Kiwi Motorsports driver Ryan Shehan has been battling for the championship title throughout the season. He moved to the top with a win and two runner-up performances at the Brickyard.
After scoring a second-place result in qualifying, Shehan carried it through to a second-place finish in race one, only to come back in race two and score another FR Americas victory. His fastest lap in race two awarded him another front-row starting spot for race three, which Shehan turned into a runner-up result on the final podium of the weekend.
“Being back on top of the podium feels great,” expressed Shehan. “We’re going to keep fighting to be on top. Coming in second is always an achievement, but it’s not quite as sweet as a win, so the crew on the #66 car will keep pushing. The team has given me an amazing machine, the rest is my job, so we’ll look to be back on top at Mid-Ohio this weekend.”

Ryan will have just a few days turnaround before he heads to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course where he will carry his momentum into the Mid-Ohio SpeedTour June 20-23 for the fourth round of the FR Americas. The round will include the series’ regular three-race schedule on the 15-turn, 2.4-mile-long course in Lexington, Ohio. Click here for the full weekend schedule.
