    Ryan Shehan Clinches the 2024 FR Americas Vice Championship

    November 6, 2024 – An impressive second-place FR Americas Championship points finish was awarded to Texas-native Ryan Shehan this past weekend at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA). Despite missing the season's last eight rounds, Shehan still clinched the Vice-Championship title with his points from the first eleven rounds of 2024 alone.

    While in the championship points lead, Shehan dropped out of the 2024 FR Americas championship race just before round twelve at New Jersey Motorsports Park due to funding issues. He expressed his gratitude to the series and all his sponsors in their efforts to continue his FR Americas journey. 

    “I’m still grateful to have won this award even though I missed almost half of the season,” explained Shehan. “Leading up to my exit, it was a tough competition with my teammate Patrick, but I think that made us more competitive drivers in the long run. Congratulations to Patrick and the Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport team on their achievements this year.” 

    Earlier in the weekend, Shehan got the opportunity to test with Turn One Automotive in their Ligier P4 machine on track at Circuit of the Americas. Shehan is now one of the few drivers in the world that has run in all of Ligier’s formula cars, as well as their GT car (JS2 R) and their P4 prototype (JS P4).  

    Shehan added “We are testing in a diverse set of cars as we work to nail down our plans for racing in 2025. My goals as an aspiring young professional race car driver include racing at some of the largest motorsport’s events in the world, such as Indy 500, Monaco GP, Le Mans 24 Hours, Daytona 24 Hours, and more.”

    To achieve these goals, Shehan is building a business that will offer opportunities to partners and fans globally. 

    “With our growing reach in motorsports, we are looking for partners and fans who are excited about the opportunities that come with our racing globally,” revealed Shehan. “Look for a number of announcements in the coming weeks on the business and nonprofit side.”
